Mexico Magico
More than a destination
Our meeting point is the International Airport of Mexico City. We will have a brief but interesting guided tour around the main center of the ancestral city of Tenochtitlan, the city that was build on top of lagoon. We will see both the old and the new. From the center of the country we will be transported in a private, comfortable van to the most magical places: "los pueblos mágicos," or magical towns. These town have magic that manifests in multiple socio-cultural aspects: symbolic attributes, legends, history, transcendent events and in everyday life. We will take time to rest and connect with our retreat group through a shared meal near our lodging the first evening.
Teotihuacan
Mystical & Charming
The holy city of Teotihuacan ('the place where the gods were created') is situated some 50 km north-east of Mexico City. Built between the 1st and 7th centuries A.D., it is characterized by the vast size of its monuments – in particular, the Temple of Quetzalcoatl and the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, laid out on geometric and symbolic principles. As one of the most powerful cultural centers in Mesoamerica, Teotihuacan extended its cultural and artistic influence throughout the region and beyond. We will be rewarded with the most amazing view and the soft wind caressing our circle. We will celebrate the joy of being alive in the Aztec way with a Pulque ceremony, “the nectar of the Gods”. Very early the next morning we will have the chance for sightseeing in the “Ancient City of Teo”, as the locals call it, by air balloon. This is an extraordinary experience that you will never forget.
Welcoming Ceremony
Air & Temazcal
We will ask permission from the guardians of this land to begin our journey, to develop deeper awareness of our own lineages, and to be open to receiving divine guidance. We will have a meaningful evening ceremony in a Temazcal, or 'steam house'; an ancient healing ritual that originates with indigenous Mesoamerican people (Aztecs, Mayans, Olmecs). With this ancient ceremony, we will cleanse our body, mind, and spirit. The fire is representative of the great Grandfather spirit, and the Temazcal itself represents the Mother Womb. We will have the chance to connect and get transmission from an Aztec Elder of Tradition, we will sit in ceremony in the ways of the Mexxhicas.

For the retreat we are taking you to paradise. We will wake up feeling refreshed and immersed in nature in a beautiful corner of the Seven Colors fresh water lagoon. The Cayuco Maya Retreat Center has created an amazing holistic center to expand our senses. The staff, the food and all the details will make your experience unforgettable. Your accommodations and meals at the retreat center in Bacalar, Cayuco Maya, are included.

Healing Embodiment
Diving into the retreat we will be immersed in a ritualistic week of holistic practices, tapping into healing embodiment through voice, yoga and somatic movement. There will also be a study of your Mayan astrology sign given by Maytrelli. With this you will be able to tap into the magic of Mayan wisdom in your own essence.

Sacred Cenote
Diving deep in the Heart
One of our special times will be at the Cenote Azul: one of the most magical under water rivers in the area. We will have a Water Ceremony as well as free time for snorkeling around this amazing vein of the Earth. Swimming in the waters of a Cenote or underwater river has special magic available to you, this channels of fresh water exist only along the Mayan Riviera and its hundreds of caves that run amazing energies that are healing and rejuvenating.
Ichkabal Ceremonial Site
Heaven on Earth
We will immerse ourselves in this quiet temple that is full with mysticism and stories .
Ichkabal has amazing structures. It was used to gather the shamans and politicians on this Eastern side of the country. Ichkabal is even older than the famous Chichen Itza, and even the city of Uxmal. It had its period of greatest social and political development between the years one thousand before Christ and until the year 320 of our era.
This pre-Hispanic area includes three large plinths and a set of plazas, all of them located in each of the corners of the vast plaza they define. Ichkabal incorporates six architectural ensembles, as well as four good-sized watering holes.
